Welcome Dinner at Veggie Wokery - ベジタリアンのレストランで歓迎ディナー

After an exploration at a shopping district, Daniel and Steve took me to a restaurant for welcome dinner.
At the restaurant, Juan, Adam and Denise, who will be my coaches, are at the table.

Since we are not sharing our dishes, I got some shrimp fried rice with brown rice, followed by fried banana for dessert... and they were so tasty!

We had a good time chatting with good food, and we went back our own ways by taking taxi-like service called ACCESS. I heard it is a shared ride service for people with disabilities, and they will pick-up and drop-off at at pre-arranged spots.
Though it requires 24 hour advance reservation, it is such a great service, I hope Japan's municipal goverment will take this idea!

ショッピングモールでのダニエルと一緒の舌打ち体験の後、ベジタリアンの中国料理レストランでの歓迎ディナーに参加しました。
そこには、ダニエルの他に自分のコーチになるJuanとAdamとDeniseが待っていました。

中国精進料理のようなメニュー内容ですが、皆さんアメリカ人らしく、複数の料理を頼んで皆でシェアする方式ではなく、個人で頼むとの事。そこで自分は仕方なく、えびチャーハンとフライドバナナを頼みました。そして、この料理がまたおいしい！ベジタリアンとは思えないほどのえびの食感と、玄米がよくあいます。フライドバナナもまた絶品で、大満足のディナーとなりました。

そして帰るときは、皆ばらばらになったのですが、自分はDanielとJuanと一緒に、」ACCESS」というサービスのミニバンに乗車しました。

「ACCESS」とは、ロサンゼルス近郊で運営されている、身体障害者のための相乗りタクシーみたいなもので、タクシーと比べて格安な料金でドアからドアまで連れて行ってくれます。
利用するには障碍者登録が必須で、通常２４時間前の予約が必要ですが、日本の介護タクシーより割安で、ガイドヘルパーより移動が早いので、日本の地方自治体でも福祉サービスとして導入してほしいと思いました。

なお、この日は３人で４ドル５０セント。一人１ドル５０セントの計算となりました。
