I feel like a kid opening a chocolate box, or a christmas present under the tree, wondering what Daniel is offering me...
ビルが帰り、フアンが疲れからか居眠りをしている間に、ダニエルが箱とナイフを持ってきました。
「ここだけの秘密。開けてごらん。」
と言われて渡されたのは、重い箱とナイフ。
From the past cooking lesson that Daniel helped me make a friend with a knife, it is a piece of cake to open the box.
What's inside...!?
依然、ダニエルからナイフの扱い方を習っていたので、箱を開けるのはお茶の子さいさい。
さて、中身は・・・！？
Whooping 10 pounds of dates!
Why the hell Daniel has to order so much dates for himself!?
開けてみると、それは５キロに近い重さのなつめの実！でも、一体なぜダニエルは、一人でこれだけのなつめを、一度に注文するんでしょうか！？
Daniel seems to be so excited, he cannot help digging in any minutes!
ダニエルはかなり興奮しているらしく、鼻息が荒いです。
Then, we started digging in!
I heard Daniel screaming and mourning... Good heavens! Ahhhh... Ohhhh...
I can't believe his reactions to these dates!
I understand he might have more sensible tongue and other perceptions, but he goes nuts when it comes to good food!
He showed the similar expression when he was trying some sweet plum rice crackers that I brought from Japan, so I learned that food makes Daniel very happy!
そして４キロちょっともあるなつめを二人でむさぼり始めました。
食べている間、とにかくダニエルは吠えまくり！「もー最高！」と言わんばかりに食べまくります。
ダニエルの食に対する執着心、すごすぎます。
私が日本から、ダニエルにもち吉の梅ざらめのおかきを揚げたとき、口に入れたときも吠えていました。
やはり視覚がないと、外の感覚が鋭く、そして豊かになるんでしょうね。
でも、ダニエルの表現力、すさまじかったです。
After enjoying some of creamy, sugary dates, the silence hit us with satisfied stomach and brain.
It seems that we made Juan awake! Gotta hide them!?
そしてクリーミーでとろけるようななつめを堪能した後、至福のひとときを味わった二人のもとに、静寂が訪れました。
ダニエルと私、暗闇の中で騒ぎすぎ。フアンが起きてきたようです。
あっ、と箱をすばやく隠すダニエル。フアンには幸福を分けてあげないのかなあ。
この後、４キロのなつめを全部食べてしまったかどうかは、ご想像にお任せします・・・
っていうか、無理でしょう！
残りは箱ごと冷凍庫に行きました、とさ。
